If you really want to dig into the numbers behind your reception, Signal 2 is an app that gives you a ton of info about your local cell network.

Most obviously, Signal 2 displays information about the cell network in your immediate area with a simple map. You can see where the nearest tower is, how your reception is, and just about anything else you'd want to know. While you can't really use this information to get a better signal, it is helpful if you're trying to figure out where else you can get a signal, or when you're just trying to get to the bottom of your bad cell coverage.
