Health Tip: If You Have Sweaty Feet

From the article: "...Carefully dry your feet, then sprinkle with cornstarch, foot powder or an antifungal powder.
Wear socks made of synthetic materials that help keep moisture away from the skin...."

These recommendations don't make a lot of sense. Specifically, the recommendation to
"Sprinkle with cornstarch" is a bad idea and a very poor recommendation - cornstarch supports the growth of bacteria (which is why you don't use it on babies) - use talc instead

"..Wear socks made of synthetic materials that help keep moisture away from skin..." is another bad idea and a poor recommendation - synthetic fibers that act as a wick do have some benefit in exterior clothing (shirts, pants) exposed to air so that the wicking action brings moisure to the surface to be evaporated away, but this doesn't happen in your shoes, where moisture is simply trapped in the fibers and kept in contact with your skin, and in addition, synthetic fibers in general (including the "wicking" kind) do not "breathe" and instead trap moisture between the skin and the fabric.
